Mac & Linux Agents Now Available In Airlock Cloud Platform

By popular demand: Mac and Linux now available in the Airlock Cloud platform!

As of May 22, 2023, you can use Airlock Cloud to deploy Mac and Linux Enforcement agents to your tenants, enabling you to expand protection to all major OS platforms.

These features are currently behind a “feature toggle” that we have implemented for testing new features in Airlock Cloud before expanding to the full user base. This means that the option to download and deploy these agents will be hidden until you choose to enable the feature toggles from the Directory level for each tenant.

Please note that the feature toggle is a “per Tenant” setting to give you more granular control over which tenants have access to these features in their instance.

How to enable the Feature Toggle for Mac and Linux agents for your tenants:

  1. Log into your Airlock Digital Cloud portal as a role that has Edit Tenant rights (Distributor, MSP, or Tenant Admin)

  2. Select the Directory that contains your tenants and select Tenant Administration

  3. Select Edit Tenant

  4. Enable the “Feature Toggle Enabled” switch and click Save

  5. Open the tenant you enabled in the last step and navigate to the Settings tab in that Tenant

  6. Select the “Experimental” sub-tab

  7. Enable the features you wish to make available in that tenant

  8. Now when you navigate to the Policies section and right click on a Policy>Download Client Agent, you will see the additional agents available for download, and you also will see options for Mac and Linux in the Blocklist Metadata Rules in your Blocklist options.

FAQ

Why is this feature labeled Experimental?

The feature toggle option is considered experimental, however the Mac and Linux agents are the same agents used in our Self-hosted and hosted versions of Airlock Digital, and offer the same functionality.

What operating systems are supported for the Enforcement Agents?

Please review our supported operating systems located on our FAQ.

What is the Toolbar Search Alternative feature listed in the toggle list?

This feature will enable you to see results from both the repository and the execution history, instead of just one list of file results. Note:  this feature applies to the Quick Search toolbar at the top of the UI.  Give it a try- we would love your feedback.

Where can I read more on deploying and managing Mac and Linux environments?

Comprehensive Airlock product usage can be found in the Airlock Digital - User Manual available in the Airlock Digital portal.  Just click the User icon in the top right corner and select Help.
